Science-minded mom and grandma, with a couple of trans kids. Typos may be mine or autocorrect, you decide.
When I was in elementary school there was a staff member at the school who walked with a cane because of polio. She made sure to tell all of us the reason and that we were fortunate there was a vaccine now. It made a big impact on me.

I don’t even care for horror generally and I really loved this movie.

To cis people?!? Probably not. At least not first and foremost.

So many are waking up and finding that their peers are shifting away from viewing them as special just for being men and it makes them sad to be judged on their actual merits.

It’s worse than Schumer courting imaginary people like that. While it is clear the Baileys would never vote for him at least they can never actually vote.

I keep saying that they are shifting the tent and leaving lots of people out in the cold every time they try to “expand it to include Rs”.

So terrible. Especially since Hopkins isn’t helping him get the visiting student thing arranged. They just abandoned him. It’s one thing for the visa to be out of their control but that is something they could do.

Shhh you are saying the quiet part out loud.

If only he had the charisma of Colin Robinson.

I wonder how much of the people outside the C-suite are using AI because their bosses have mandated it? That’s becoming a common story.

Having just read Soldiers and Kings by Jason de Leon regarding the Honduran guides who move migrants across Mexico and to the US border human trafficking is complicated. It seems like it’s rarely good for the people being moved or low level guides. They’d just be collateral damage.

For a guy who is all America First he sure spends a lot of time worrying about Venezuela.

The Illinois AG’s office should be doing something about this. But will they?

It always gets painted this way. Disagreements with the things coming out of the Pentagon are treated like hating the rank and file soldiers.

I guess I didn’t try indefinitely. But over an hour looking for a tablecloth I liked for my table that was less than $100 was the edge of my willingness continue. If that makes me a bad person so fucking be it.

This is not sustainable. Bailing out the banks and large corporations is nothing but socialism for the rich and late stage capitalism for everyone else.

They are all closed. Completely out of business thanks to private equity.

If Target had what I needed I might have. But they didn’t. No brick and mortar store near me did. And other online retailers didn’t either. If there’s a specific item I need that I can’t make or find elsewhere I try to figure out if I can do without. This is preaching to the choir.

I could find things in the $200-300 price range. Or under $100. I would have just gone to Joannes and bought fabric to hem but that store no longer exists. So I bit the bullet. Once. In over six months. You are preaching to the choir. I used to be a small retail business owner.
