I’ve bumped this little worry-beads-string of a project to its own URL.

Watched A SINGLE MAN the other night for the #Moorethon and quite frankly if one of my last interactions on this planet was dancing to Green Onions with a looped-out Julianne Moore well dang it that’s a life well lived right there.
Tonight for the #Moorethon I’m watching THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE, which I’ve somehow never seen.

Rebecca De Mornay would have made an amazing Terminator.
A couple nights ago for the #Moorethon I watched NINE MONTHS which is pretty much exactly the kind of movie I’m never watching on my own unless there’s some kind of project-watching initiative motivating it.

Watched the new Frankenstein last night. It was okay. Would have been better in a theater.

I like long movies but I wish this one had been ~40 minutes shorter.

A fun thing we have to look forward to is the wave of “Wuthering Heights” babies by this time next year huh

I finished reading Lord of the Rings to my 10 year old last night and now I have to figure out what I’m going to read to him next. Most of the suggestions I see online are things he’s already read to himself. What a problem to have, I guess…

Last night's #Moorethon entry was PSYCHO (1998).

PSYCHO (1998) includes some real serious A+++ peak don't-you-call-me-lady Julianne Moore looks. I'm. I'm. I'm. Swoon. 10/10. No notes.

Anyways every year I put the books I read in a single column pile as I finish them and then on Jan 1 I snap a pic and share it online and then I dismantle the pile and start fresh in the new year, it’s a fun dumb thing I do for dumb fun

Now imagine why I’m posting about this today

I do believe if I had the poise and ability to high-kick dudes clear into other rooms my life would actually have less not more friction in it
DESPERADO: No, not that one. A low-budget Chinese actioner starring our premier Bruce Lee Guy, Danny Chan. He wears a cool suit, shithouses legions of goons and engages in some circus clowning. Overplotted, often unhinged, stylishly staged and shot, and in the end tremendous fun.

Me: “yeah…mine? …duh?”

I know I fall into the trap of thinking “work in translation” or “international literature” means “dry” or “homeworky”.

This book is not homeworky.

It is hilarious.

It is also very wet.

Wet…with the blood of its enemies.
Gonna have to bust out some Icelandic metal for this one, huh
