It’s always the same playbook: deny the means to live and then gaslight. It isn’t just one or the other— it’s both, actively and viciously.

I’m not sure what the right move would have been, or if there could have been a better play. I did hope Dem leadership would have better ideas.

The plus side is that they seem united right now (well, save Fetterman and Cortez Masto) but we’ll see for how long

The larger picture here is that the Trump admin has dismantled so much of the give illegally, and the hope was the the Dems could use a potential shutdown as a way to show force and to somehow get the Trump admin to walk back some of the dismantling
