GenXer here. I graduated college in 1994. It's been a series of bust cycles my entire working life. Dot com, 9/11, 2008 crash and Covid. I've been laid off multiple times or had careers derailed. No nostalgia here.

I enjoyed the book and the series. I thought the book got too bogged down in her argument that the attempt to remove the bullet caused all of Garfield's problems. The series brought the characters to life.

I have not come out and said it on social media but I'm no longer campaigning. I want to thank everyone who supported my short-lived campaign. I love this country and will find another to help during this period.

This is being driven by 35% of the electorate. Most people don't want masked thugs rounding people up or SNAP benefits being held back or tax cuts for billionaires. Republicans always talk about the silent majority. That's where we are.

I agree. A national strike is the only path forward. But trying to push against an American tradition seems ill advised.

The week of Thanksgiving is terrible timing. You are asking people to not see family and instead have an economic shutdown.

Sunday after the protest I got my haircut. The person who cut my hair was in her early 30s, tats everywhere. She did the Black Lives Matter protest but had to work on a Saturday. We have to find ways to build bridges outside our white, middle class bubble. Mass general strike is the only way forward

The federalists didn't have section 230. It's created some of the most powerful media companies in the world and the tech oligarch ruling class.

Only the most extreme voices are rewarded right now. It's all about attention.
