I did a lot of that… still occasionally find stuff I got back from the UMTA and various transit authorities.

There’s also an article about a demonstration rail project being done on Philadelphia’s Delaware River waterfront using “Pop-up Metro”, remanufactured London Tube (D78) stock, that one of my former Carnegie Mellon colleagues is now doing tech work for.

I mean it’s probably cursed to think it but after 40+ years in Pittsburgh I notice the bridges that we *don’t* have here

Yeah ok. I think I need to visit

There are two kinds of people. “I suffered and you should too” and “I suffered and you should not” and holy crap it sucks that there are two kinds of people.

When I lived in Somerville I figured out how far I’d need to go to get the other bakery and it was solidly in commuter rail range

I folded my coat and tucked it in my bike bag while I was inside. Given how crowded the library was, I chose a seat in the back and neatly tucked stuff under my chair, since I had my laptop and my helmet from biking around all day.

Nip came and visited Marie and I this morning about 10 minutes before the alarm (fine) but apparently then went and puked (not much but not none) on Kat's bed.

Sure but it’s weird that both bakeries’ stuff is coming from seemingly the same warehouse

A few years ago I did side by sides of each comparable cookie and tooted them (Mastodon) which of course thanks to the open hatred of search means those posts are lost to time. I’ll probably do it again this year

Long long ago Nip used to sleep at my feet and I learned how to roll over without kicking him, but 1) he doesn't anymore and 2) this is expert level shit compared to a cat who's not chonky
