Didn't they just announce HBO/HBO Max/Max (whatever it's called) coming to more countries?

Potentially yes, I don't have enough information to really make a substantial contribution to that part of the discussion.
I was mostly replying to the part about them needing more depth in a game to get attached.
Different games offer different experiences, some have more depth than others.

And that's okay. Everyone has their own preferences in gaming.
There's so many games I love others dislike and so many games I dislike that other people love and that's perfect.

Just started playing it for the first time myself a couple weeks ago! It's way more fun than I expected.

I went from "mildly interested even after not caring much for the first game" to "not gonna touch it with a ten foot pole"

Just beat it + DLC myself last week, quickly became my favorite game right after Expedition 33.

Limited edition stuff at McDonalds at the moment.

Like always, if you like my stuff pls fav/repost/recommend me so more people can find my account. This stuff only works because of word of mouth and the algorithmen is not in favor of "my kind of posts".

Seems it has! Awesome! Couldn't get it to happen at all even in a place where it would happen to me 100% of the time.

Hoping this fixes the weird distortion issue for PC.
