Dinosaurs in dnd are AWESOME!!! They are big, stompy, and probably taste like chicken.

No you don’t need to explain their existance, they can just be there.

Also I was researching them and the T rex skeleton “Sue” might have had gout.

Who knew dinosaurs could get gout? Makes sense I guess…?
