I have probably close to 1000 games strewn across various digital libraries that have just accumulated over the years. I installed PlayNite for the express purpose of checking if I already owned a game before buying one on sale.

There’s literally no point in paying for a service like Game Pass.

I don’t think this is necessary. Now you’re spending money determining who qualifies. You’re evaluating income which has to be reported. You’re asking someone to justify that they deserve it. You’ve added a mechanism by which it can be denied. That can be abused, and now we have to process appeals.

Need universal basic income. Don’t make people apply for it. Don’t waste money trying to figure out who needs or deserves it and who doesn’t. Just give everyone the same amount of cash every month. Then sit back and watch things dramatically improve.

I’m always interested in checking out these Digimon games because the human character designs look cool and I love that anime vibe but then I look at half a screenshot and remember how stupid the actual Digimon look and just walk away from it all.

I think things got a little more interesting when Sega seemed to say "hey, you need to start putting more games stuff in there" but we were still saddled with Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, and all of these other characters who looked more like they belonged in a Bubsy game.

I recall being quietly frustrated that neither show really felt like "Sonic." AoStH was goofball humor and SatAM was basically just some rebellion narrative. Archie going hard on being a SatAM continuation didn't help, and it felt like social suicide to speak out against SatAM in the fandom.

We're a few decades out so I think it's safe to say this definitively: AoStH and SatAM were both bad Sonic cartoons, both for the same reason: neither show even attempted to showcase the vibe and aesthetic of the 16-bit games.

It’s absolutely wild when people complain about prices being too high to the company setting the price. Like, SE or Blizzard will not lower the cost of cosmetic DLC because you point out that an outfit costs as much as the game. Nintendo is not going to say “sorry, we’ll make the Switch 2 cheaper.”

Every so often a writer will toss out the old “supervillains are interesting because they think what they’re doing is right” but then they forget that it’s *their* responsibility *as the writer* to show the supervillain is *wrong*.
