Unless of course the shower isn't on the fuse board, which it might not be. There are a few electric things in the basement that I'm not sure what they are (i.e. none of it - even the fuse board is just labelled "Lights" for everything - not very helpful 😂😂😂)
Think my electric shower has given up the ghost. TBF, it is old. But also, not great timing. Any electrician I get in to install a new one is gonna take one look at my 1960s wooden-backed fuse board and nope the fuck out - and replacing that is not really in the cards soon (or ever) 😂

Not doing so well with my reading goals this year (only read 5 books and 0 comics), but, hey, doing alright on the movie side. I don't think I've ever watched so many movies in one year - unless we count the year I watched Man in the Iron Mask every single day after school for months xd

"It’s in the language that frames adoption as empowering, while the majority of relinquishing mothers are not offered counseling, do not have their own legal representation, and are not informed of their rights."
"Adoption isn’t the benevolent system we’re taught it is; it doesn’t exist because we have “so many babies” in need of homes; it’s not the “common ground” we should concede in abortion debates. To understand today’s maternity homes, we have to first reframe what we think we know about adoption."
Pleased to share this guest post on ‘Abortion, Every Day’ discussing modern day maternity homes. These homes function differently from pre-Roe homes, but ultimately serve the same regressive aims — with familiar coercive means.

Thanks @jessicavalenti.bsky.social!

Jobs requiring a Bachelors degree, when one isn't required for like licensure, 'or equivalent experience' is discriminatory and redundant, and I will die on that hill. This post brought to you by trying to help my friend figure out how to demonstrate their experience is equivalent - hellish.

If I ever went for an autism assessment, I'd tell them that when I was around 10, I had a Dr Seuss memory book which asked, "Do you eat like a horse or a bird?" and I wrote, "I eat like a person".

Finally found a place for these lovely art prints I bought from @emilygarces.bsky.social nearly two months ago. It's a very tiny, narrow hallway, so it was hard to get a decent picture. I love them <3
