Yet another reason example of how money does not equal taste. There was a time like 10 years ago with numerous posts about how the secret of success was wearing the same outfit everyday with pictures of Zuckerberg and jobs and I just thought what’s the point of all that money?

Parable of the Sower is one of my big 3 (because I can’t pick just one favorite book) along with Ursula K Le Guin’s The Dispossessed and Peter S Beagle’s The Last Unicorn. I have so much to read I barely do repeats but I always go back to these 3

Yes and that was one of the primary criticisms of Gore’s run. They don’t have to be a perfect match but they need to have a shared vision. I don’t think Pete really has a vision, which means he can go with AOC’s vision if that’s where the wind is blowing, but dump it if it’s even mildly inconvenient

I don’t think their politics are aligned. Pete is charismatic, but he is not a progressive. Being gay is not automatic progressive credentials
