This marks a landmark victory for me as this is the FIRST 14 I've gotten a PFC on under the arcade standard timing windows. I think this triggered something because I ALMOST got a FC on a 15 not too long after this... Further experiments underway...

Oh and a funny thing. HERO (2008 X-EDIT) was originally part of this group in the home version but was not brought to DDR X arcade, instead making the arrival in DDR X2 arcade. All this, while losing the "2008 X-EDIT" portion of its title. Always thought it was weird not seeing it on X.

These tended to be combinations of either the original and the challenge/SSR charts or in the case of GET UP N' MOVE, a combination of the DDR SOLO and OG chart and cut. Of all of them DUB-I-DUB was easily my favorite of the bunch.

DIP IT LOW, would NEVER in a million years get past the ESRB E10 rating. I mean can you imagine someone bringing this game home for their kids and THIS pops up?! LOL. That said, while editing this one I actually took a new liking to MIXED UP WORLD. And the second one I ALWAYS liked.

I'm super jelly of those LED step panels. I wish I had the bravery to make a pass at installing something like that.

I've got six physical cartridges already for Switch 2, and none of that is counting the myriad of titles I've got for Switch 1 physical. None of that is counting the digital collection. Also, ALL of that is before NSO. Honestly I'll look at the menu sometimes and be overwhelmed.

To my Euro brothers and sisters across the pond, y'all are lucky to have her and get these songs on your games. I damn well wish WE got them.

The first run is a redo with the updated arcade timing window setup. And the run for DJ is totally new to the channel.

Not even a year and peeps are judging it like it's been out for FIVE. For real go touch grass. Content will come when it does. In the meanwhile, from my perspective there's plenty to be satisfied with here with more to come. And this is how I felt about Switch 1 as well around this time.

Funny, I play WAY more than just three games on this system, but then again it DOESN'T have to be a first party flagship for me to be on it either.

Those on the JP cabs had it good, but for the rest of us.... let's just say THIS was the DDR release that all but destroyed DDR in this neck of the woods ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL DDRA! Sure we DID get DDRX2, but by then most arcade operators were scared to death of getting another one after DDRX.

So for me seeing the songs I was getting good at migrating over to the arcades to play had me pop the hell off at the announcement and first screenshots showing an image of WILL on DDRX. It's just too bad the US cabs SUCKED. Off sync. Perf issues. We DIDN'T get the crossover HP stages.

While I've played home version DDR in some capacity beforehand, HOTTEST PARTY 1 was the first actual release with the mat and all that I EVER brought home day and date that I could actually PHYSICALLY play. Of course I went on to get the others, and also the PS2 releases, but this is my OG.

For the first time WILL, BEAUTIFUL INSIDE, and especially SUPER SAMURAI could be played with speed mods! And albeit in a bit of a limited form, we actually got the WII dance routines for the characters in the arcades too! Seriously though, you don't KNOW how excited I was to see this back then!
