Yes and I bet many ppl are faced w that same thing - jobs they hate just for the coverage. My ex had an appendectomy - 3 days in the hosp. I opened a bill for over $18K for that. Wanted to throw up. But they hadn't sent it thru ins. so ended up ~ 400. How can anyone afford med bills like that?!

Yeah, don't know where he got that premium amt. I was on COBRA in 2010 and the comparable premium ~ the corp policy I had had before was $500. And w/o coverage there is no ins. capitation, so the poorer & ppl w/o ins. get mailed horrendous med bills. The stress = anything but health-inducing.
