Managing stress levels has been challenging, particularly on an emotional level, especially when a family member is gradually losing their cognitive abilities. Some days it feels like we're talking to a parrot, while on other days, we can see him being himself, or as much of himself as he can be.

And I do fear that visit will be the last, but that is the harsh reality of having a family member who is terminally ill; he could be gone tomorrow, next week, next month or anytime soon, which is why I am grateful, but holy moly does it hurt and gets stressful at times.
