Preview of a watercolor map I just finished! Most of these are inspired by islands in the ecological sense, but some feature geology more prominently, especially when they’re #volcanoes in the middle of cities. This one is Monte Nuovo in Pozzuoli 🎨🌋🏘️.

I’ll start things off by sharing a few of my watercolor maps! They’re like cubist mosaics, capturing experiences of islands and contrasts in nature - desert oases, rare mountaintop ecosystems, “actual” (oceanic) islands - by combining multiple views together.
