The #Bluejays giving Yandy Diaz a hit yesterday, raising his batting average to .300, keeping him out of the lineup today so he can finish the season at .300, was genius.

Before AI, I used to do crossword puzzles in books before possibly checking the answers in the back, but now I just turn straight to the answers and read them. What's the point of actually completing the crossword puzzle if it's already done?

Apply liquid nail adhesive to the pieces to be joined and nail on both sides to finish.
Cut boards with adhesive applied to the inside surfaces. The finished splice glued and nailed together.

Cut through both boards with a circular saw. If you can't cut through both boards at the same time, detach the boards after the first board is cut through and carefully follow along the started cut on the bottom board to finish.
Two boards overlapping, the top board has been cut along the triangle and waster wood removed. The bottom board has been partially cut along the triangle during the first cut. The bottom board has been cut through with the triangle removed.

Overlap two boards by at least 3x the width of the pieces to be spliced. In my case, 2x6s, so the overlap is >18" (3*6). Temporary screw the boards together. Draw a triangle centered on the end of the boards, 18" long.
Overlapping boards with an 18" long triangle drawn/cut on the top board (the bottom board is also cut).
