I suggested to my sister for a software design course to embrace the AI. More specifically, to have the students do their designs by hand in labs (with no computer/AI assistance) and then let AI code their design (since it’s not a coding course).

I have a sister who’s a prof and two kids in college/university, so I’m seeing two opposing sides of the issue. The problem of our phones having answers to almost anything predates GenAI, but it’s been made much worse, of course.
I don’t have a solution, but I do think about it a lot.

The good news is that there are a finite number of combinations for a 4000 word document, so you should be able to brute force it fairly easily.

113 - 50
For me, that’s the end, as I could compute 63 easily from there (I grew up without calculators). But if I needed to break it down further, I’d go:
13 + 100 - 50 =
13 + 50 = 63
113 - 50
