I teach highschool computer science. I picked team Nintendo back when Sega was the other option. I read books. And I saw tiny swords at a Ren faire once so I tried making some myself.

My highschool robotics class helped out our 5th graders today. We are making underwater ROVs for the competition with BYU. Soldering seems really scary but with the right equipment and good safety rules the students were able to get all their switches soldered to their circuit boards today.
