Never trust anyone who doesn’t like the Pixies.
Weird how a memo can override a constitutional amendment.

But, see, it's not stealing if it's extortion!

I mean... if we have the "greatest economy in the history of our country", that should be pretty easy to prove, right? Like... he definitely has numbers to back up that claim and prove the haters wrong? Right? Right?

"Here’s What They Could Do Instead"

Is the answer "anything"? I bet it's "anything".

Are they calling themselves Christian?
January 22, 2026 at 9:03 AM
Trump claims it’ll cost $175B but I read a report in Scientific American that it’ll probably be more like $500B… and it still probably won’t work.
January 22, 2026 at 9:02 AM
I’m still fuzzy on why we even need a “golden dome”. It won’t work, it’ll cost like half a trillion dollars, and it has a stupid name.
January 22, 2026 at 8:47 AM
Is it still considered stealing if it’s extortion?
January 22, 2026 at 8:30 AM
So what's his plan? Just go in front of cameras and show random pictures of scary looking brown people with "worst of the worst" written next to them, without any context or identifying info so nobody can verify that they were indeed charged/convicted of any crimes?

That tracks, actually.

My CT is:

The GOP is letting Trump go hog wild because it's pretty obvious he's on his last legs. He's clearly in poor health, both physically and mentally.

So then once he goes, JD Vance can keep doing the same stuff but dial it back just a little bit and seem like he's "reasonable".
January 21, 2026 at 8:53 PM
No, see, according to Karoline Leavitt, you didn't actually see that. Trump was very lucid and correct and handsome.
January 21, 2026 at 8:09 PM
What actually happened is that a French officer did an interview a few days ago where he said that Ukraine suspected intel may be leaking from the US to Russia; this was misinterpreted in translation. That's it.

That officer and Ukraine have both denied any sort of "sting" operation.

The thing that annoys me most is that he basically wants credit for winning World War 2 even though A: he actively avoided military service and B: he was born shortly after that war ended (and his father didn't serve either).
January 21, 2026 at 7:39 PM
This is true, but Davos is in the German-majority part of Switzerland.
January 21, 2026 at 7:34 PM
Please Europe, don't back down.
January 21, 2026 at 6:25 PM
I also find it a little amusing that fat old guy born after the war likes to act like he personally won WW2. Like... you actively avoided serving in the military and now you want to take credit for military stuff that happened before you were even born? Get fucked.

Signed,
an army veteran.

I'll take "Things that didn't happen" for $500, Alex.
January 21, 2026 at 6:04 PM
I mean, it's good that he reminded the Germans and Swiss that the USA saved them from having to speak German...
January 21, 2026 at 6:01 PM
And he of course is aware that he's part of "the media".
January 21, 2026 at 5:58 PM
Yeah and they don’t actually care anyway. Like when they stormed into the house of a Hmong guy (who’s been a citizen for decades) in the middle of the night, ripped him out of bed in his skivvies, and dragged him to jail. When he offered to show his ID they told him to F off, they don’t care.

My parents worked 30+ years at the post office, had their house foreclosed during the mortgage crisis, and died in a ratty apartment in a crappy New England town. But do go on…

I know two different unrelated women (zebras) with EDS. It’s a pretty messed up disorder.

OMG HOW IS HE GOING TO RAISE HIS CHILDREN!?!?
