I don't know many american cities well enough to judge, but based off pop-culture consumed I'd say 80's Chicago, Manhattan, maybe Miami. If we're talking globally, I'd say Sydney, simply because it the closest equivalent in Aus that I could see.

It's a good theory, but is incongruent with its previous appearance in season 3.
Also, that was before the pantheon made its return as caused by the first Disney special, unless Midnight was always its prison. Similar to the Impossible planet being the prison for the 'devil' entity from season 2.
