In far happier news, my “she shed”
four season sunroom is complete. Started moving stuff in. Going to work for a beach feel eventually. Each piece of furniture is connected to someone I love. (Except the blue Walmart recliner). Naming her “Blue Bayou”. Super excited!

My book bag has some cranky thoughts this morning.

Box or bus shelter for cats? Could go either way!

The chill in this cat is palpable.

Couch assembled. It now hurts to blink and I smell like dead rodent. But it is done!

If she enjoys the Uppland Loveseat (IKEA) this much in the box, imagine how happy she will be once it is assembled!!

My first attempt at gluten-free molasses brown bread. Hard outside, but soft inside. Will keep building on this effort to improve rise and texture, but very happy. It tastes awesome!

There is something comforting about baking. A bit of magic happens and suddenly the house smells of oatmeal molasses brown bread and pumpkin spice muffins. It feels warm and cozy and my family’s grateful smiles cheer my heart!

Starting post-Christmas healthy eating with roasted root vegetable soup. Can’t wait to try this new recipe! I mean, how yummy does this look and it is not even soup yet?!

Made mincemeat using great-great-grandmother’s recipe. Then did a first attempt at a not-so-traditional vegan version for my roommate. It’s delicious, and the house smells incredible!

Crafts are much more interesting when the cat discovers your yarn!
