Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, I struggled to keep friends. I always ended up being "too much" for people.

Too loud. Too weird. Too annoying.

Title: Fitting In

The blue triangle gets an idea, and pulls out a saw. She starts shaving the corners of herself off in an effort to look more like a circle.

The mean orange circles laugh again, saying “What a loser, LOL” while the blue triangle looks sadly at all her corner pieces that read “loud,” “eager,” and “hyper.”

A green square shows up, with bandages all over its corners, carrying a red envelope. They help the blue triangle to her feet.

Green square proceeds to open the red envelope to reveal band-aids and re-attach the blue corners (starting with “loud”) to the triangle.

Triangle is all put back together. A purple hexagon and pink parallelogram enter the scene, excited to be there and also donning bandages on their corners.

Last frame: shapes standing together among a long line of same orange circles. The red envelope with bandages can be seen center stage.

Shiiiit I'm 40 and finding content creation as a whole has ageism aspects. Imagine someone my age (and I know they exist) deciding to be a tuber... it's sad really, we're all just trying to exist and entertain.

Not that anyone is keeping tabs but I have an MRI set up for my back. The CT scan came back abnormal so this is the next step (after physical therapy which did not help AT ALL) to see how bad it's gotten. It took a decade for someone to ACTUALLY LISTEN. Hopefully my back can be saved.

Yeah... they're renovating the house next to us and I'm wondering if what they were doing was the cause, but yeah. I was doing laundry and Kiko stuck her head in and scared the shit outta me thinking it was a rando cat trying to come in 😭

So someone broke our basement window. These were thick windows so not sure how, but it did.

Kiko found her way out twice (after I barricaded the window) so guess who's in kitty jail (my wife's office) until I can figure out a permanent solution.

All of this. ALL OF THIS. Been having chronic pain for years now and it's just now getting addressed. Why? I have a Black woman for a doctor. It took me years to have anyone else listen to me and nothing. Now the pain is directly affecting my day-to-day. So please don't come at us with your advice.

I've been getting a lot of unsolicited advice especially from white people. I'm Black. I don't get treated the same as you. I can't just switch doctors. I'll be labelled negatively & get no care at all. Yes it's wrong. But at the end of the day, you won't do anything about it.
