Fighting for decent facilities afterwards will be more costly, won’t happen and doesn’t build communities that are sustainable and nurturing. There is such a paucity of vision, ambition and joined up thinking. Why is it possible to build and plan better in other countries?

Do we want people who have been conscripted into working in the care system with no aptitude or interest. It is a recipe for neglect and abuse. A meaningful and rigorous qualification necessary. As in other countries. The same with child care. Otherwise you get a patchwork/lucky dip of quality

Love the posting of Shirley’s wonderful illustrations but prefer the presentation of them in the twitter postings. I find the wooden bachground a distraction.
