While I'm at it, there's a line Emmrich shares with Harding that brings The Little Prince to mind:

"I would've spent a lot of time on those roses."

I couldn't resist the inspiration and found myself sketching our Emmrich as the Little Prince. I dearly hope you'll find it as cute as I do.

Wholeheartedly thank you thank you for your characters and your writing. I hadn’t written in years, and your voice in these games got me back at it. It’s filled my life with such joy and love to create. Sincerely hope you get everything you’ve ever wished for because you deserve it and more.

Many Trump supporters already feel pain. They’ve been swindled and think Trump will make others hurt more than them. Now is a fine time for anger. People will die from this, that’s enraging all on its own. I don’t wish pain on anyone. And losing VA benefits will hurt me and so many others.

This reply is incredibly revealing. People are allowed to be rude online, especially when they’ve likely had these discussions countless times and are exhausted by folk like us. The fact you’re adding race on the end is gross, why would you even need that clarification? Their block was justified.

Yep. My entire family is white racist Christian Nationalists. I deconstructed and constantly try to learn more and do better.

From my understanding, our work as white is not within the black community. Our role is to listen and get out of the way. While making life hell for our kin until they learn

Ah, there it is.

You should read What We Owe to Each Other by T.M. Scanlon.

Regardless, the fact that you’re arguing here instead of against the uneducated white women that voted for Trump is the issue. Your work is not here. Especially with that take on this interaction. You’re wasting energy.

They don’t owe you an answer. Why should they concern themselves with uneducated white women? When have white women done anything for them?

It’s our job to concern ourselves with our ‘sisters’ that enable atrocity. It’s our work to yell at them to wake up. Focus on your work, not theirs.

You would serve everyone better by going after those voters yourself and doing the work you see with your own power and privilege. There is not some greater ‘we’ that has to be focused and in complete agreement. We all do what we can, if that’s where your work is, do it. He doesn’t owe you ‘we’.
