The National Center for Education Statistics has canceled their data users conference scheduled for next week. The notification, loosely translated, says "sorry, but we got to go fight the Muskrats. BRB, hopefully." #edusky #data #education

Spent most of my day downloading publicly available federal education data I use regularly. You know, just in case it disappears. #edusky #bobsburgers

Coastal stroll with my pack: where work-life balance meets the Pacific. This Oregon sunset reminds me why I traded spreadsheets for sand (at least for today). #OregonCoast #Oregon #PNW #Dog #Sunset

Introducing my dog, Rosa.

Her favorite things are barking randomly, sleeping, eating, and being dramatic.

Wow. This app made it SO EASY to speak to my elected officials. Such a simple user interface - all I had to do was enter my zip code and I immediately accessed step-by-step guidance on who to contact, how to contact them, and how to voice my thoughts. Do it! You'll feel better. #politics #tech
Today's a great day to resist from the comfort of your own home. Use the 5 Calls app, for example, to harangue your elected representatives to do their effing job. Besides connecting you to your reps, see also breakdowns of issues before you call. Example in comments.

Per an NIH source:

“Discussions with colleagues have suggested that if the universities all come together and raise hell about the delays to funding caused by not holding meetings, that might move the needle. From every state. There are well-funded universities in red states that will be impacted.”
