When Trump first got elected in 2016 I was living in US and a friend told me “US is not Banana Republic (referring to Turkey). This is a mistake and not going to happen again”. Look what happened. I hope it doesn’t get as bad as Turkey.

I was in high school when same movie started playing in Turkey. Left was so incapable and Erdogan came to power. Everyone said “Oh it’s a one time thing not going to happen again”. Fast Forward 25 years later he changed the constitution to stay in power.

So then since they are not doing or saying anything I assume they are ok with what’s happening? Yeah I read couple executive orders got blocked here and there but nothing more than that.

I genuinely do not understand how the Democrats have become this powerless? Like isn’t there anything they can do to gain some momentum back?

So someone is watching i guess lol.
