It’s something I have wondered as well. I think of GenAI and LLMs as a reflection of society, since it’s trained on our data. And we humans can be pretty biased creatures 🤔

Very interesting, one thing I think about often is the feasibility of incorporating ethics into AI/ML, is it possible to program humanity into a model? Part of me thinks it’s not possible. Thought provoking video

Part of why I started my blog was from hearing the words “algorithms on drones can be trained to target specific individuals” on the radio. It horrified me. Imagine algorithms trained on biased data as well, and what implications may come with the targeting of specific groups of people… it’s scary

Agree, I think there’s a big problem in the “marketing” of AI. AI has existed since the 50s but the explosive release of GenAI caused big trust issues among everyday people (fear of losing livelihood, privacy, etc)… which isn’t helped by who the Big Tech companies are aligning themselves with.

Data is the new gold and the OpenAI beast needs more and more fuel!

Interesting read! I also wonder if Big Tech companies that develop AI bots for intimate relationships can also create algorithms to nudge users to buy things or towards certain beliefs

Very interesting point about how Big Tech companies can use the genetic data to tailor ads and manipulate people’s algorithms through social media, I haven’t thought of that before!

Interesting read, I like the term “bias laundering.” I’ll be using it from now on

My personal fav

Interesting, I think there’s definitely a scale to how much AI is used until it’s declared AI for creative processes. Would brainstorming with AI need to be declared? Certainly AI art should be declared. But what about prompts that help a person create their own art? Thought provoking :)
