Software engineer working for OneStudyTeam to revolutionize clinical trial technology. Opinions my own.
Wait is all industry jargon cultish?

I've heard "compute" be used as a short way of saying "computational power" my whole career as a software engineer and I don't work in AI.

Isn't that what compute is short for?

I am not in power. I am not driving shit. Right now I have three options:
A. Vote for Harris
B. Vote for Trump
C. Don't vote or vote third party (same effect)

Which of these options has the most positive impact on the situation in Gaza?

I don't want people to shut up. I want them to yell loudly how one of our two choices can and should be better while voting against the one that will be way way worse

Meanwhile leftists don't have to worry about being blamed for anything their candidates do

It's basically one big trolley problem. Do liberals really want to be responsible for someone getting run over by a trolley? No, but they also don't want to watch 5 people get run over either

They have a company of ten people a billion dollars

How do I read these? Your tweet said we have 8 million users but the charts only go up to 3.4 million

Oh okay cool, thanks. That's freaking bonkers.

I think those two might actually be a second set of great^3-grandparents, because everyone in this family is related to her in at least 2 different ways lol

Who were Cleopatra III's parents? Would that have been a second set of great^3-grandparents?

Aren't sea sponges always salty anyway though?

I'm interested in reading journalism, not performative centrism

Fact checks that contradict their own paper's articles really make me question why I'd want to
August 20, 2024 at 5:00 PM
Okay this is getting ridiculous. I've been hanging into my WaPo subscription after cancelling NYT so I could still read a major paper but shit like this is making me reconsider. Your "fact checkers" apparently can't even search your own archives: www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Analysis | How Trump’s ‘love letters’ with Kim Jong Un could cost him
In a newly revealed interview, Trump acknowledged in late 2019 and early 2020 that the letters were highly sensitive. Experts say that could help the government prosecute him.
