As a non-US observer of actions like this I have to say that it is almost inevitable that situation would end up here. The toxicity and anger being generated by Trumps MAGA left no room for compromise. When he’s gone the US will have to look at itself and ask themselves ‘is this who we are now?’

A recent report on a pilot scheme by the Irish government who gave monthly stipends to qualifying artists and craft persons have found that it returned €1.49 in GDP for every €1 granted and it is now to be implemented on a permanent basis. That’s an impressive investment return by any standard.

I have to hand it to Heseltine, he was right, in full detail, about the negative economic and migratory consequences of Brexit, he was right when he said that Boris Johnson was lazy, not a serious person and unfit to be PM and he is right about Reform Uck and the true nature of their policies.

I have to say I love so many things about living in Albania 🇦🇱, but one of them is not the constant cacophony of car horns being blown by probably some of the worst drivers on this planet in possibly the most craziest traffic management system in existence. It says something about our current leadership around the world when this young woman, by her actions, her bravery, her commitment and her willingness to stand up to Isreal is able to articulate clearly the repeated failures of our so-called civilised world to stop the perpetrators of genocide.

Presumably she looked at it as closely as she did her Conference pamphlets and the results of the Northern Ireland Brexit Vote or the economic, health service and social care costs of her plan to expel 150,000 immigrants. The woman is factually illiterate.
