Now, as a novelty whiskey stone hater I am a lover of the novelty ice cube mold. The stones admittedly look nice as displace pieces, but the silicone ice moulds actually do the job.

Yeah, it's okay! Most cocktail recipes take dilution via ice into account. You can also just chill your whiskey in the fridge too. It's a very okay thing to do.

Yeah, there are whiskey stones for just about everyone. Such a weirdly diverse bar accessory concept. I once saw some shaped like star fleet badges. Neat, but largely useless.
