Randy should take a little trip to Greenland and establish residency so he can run for governor or dedicate his life to fighting for statehood

There are 57 brands of protein bars. Cheerios have protein varieties. Chipotle has a burrito bowl with 98 g of protein. What are they talking about?

Point taken. Hard to imagine him running for anything again though next governor could appoint him as interim until there's a special election assuming the Democrat wins and I suppose he could run in that if he really wants to move to Washington

He's not running again. It's basically Klobachar's platform now, and I'm not terribly inspired so far. Open to her going full salad comb (Haven't researched the race, assuming she's the runaway frontrunner)

Our elected officials need to be using the term nonviolent. I get that it makes people uncomfortable but the time to be merely uncomfortable has long passed. We're not just protesting Tesla dealerships anymore.

Thank you. I would love if your colleagues could introduce an mpeachment article every hour of every day on a different heinous abuse of power. The dam's gotta break eventually

I hope you're running on impeaching this asshole too

Insurrectionist Roger Williams should be hanged for treason. Could I get in trouble for that? It seems to be pretty run of the mill discourse these days. We forgot sometimes that a third of Congress are traitors to the US under most pre-january 6th 2021 definitions. They voted to install a dictator

I hope that woman is safe and that she is beloved by many people. She put herself in lethal danger.

I do understand why some are uncomfortable with such displays of raw outrage. And some are uncomfortable with others' lack of public outrage.

Let's be uncomfortable together. It's the only way.

Last of a longer series of comments I made in a thread reacting to Governor Walz's comments.

I think "peaceful" sets some people off because it implies to that their anger has not been validated

but "nonviolent" makes some feel they can't smile or laugh and that "peaceful" can still be solumn
January 8, 2026 at 7:33 AM
you got me angry because it made me think about what it is that hits a nerve.

We're in the same fight so maybe I'll cut gov some slack.

There will be those at protests who think some are being too angry. And those who think some aren't angry enough.

Just matters that everyone's there

Nonviolent conveys "don't harm people because you're angry, because that would hurt our cause"

Peaceful conveys "don't be angry"

And I know no one is saying "don't be angry". But using other language can make for a bigger tent

Anyway, thank you...

People should absolutely abstain from violence, but the constant emphasis on "peaceful protest" can sound like emotional gatekeeping. Feeds into the thinking "protests don't do anything" even though if those people came to protests, the protests would do much more.

now "nonviolent protests"...

The implication is that it's our responsibility to make sure he doesn't declare martial law. He can simply point to the millions of people "who hate America forming mobs" in ever town and city? That'll be enough. "Alcoholic's personality" said his own chief of staff. No provocation needed.
January 8, 2026 at 6:46 AM
Figured he'd declare martial law by the end of the first hundred days. It's always seemed inevitable. Should we wait until it's already underway before protesting?

Same attitude before the debate with J.D. Vance.

Victim-blaming at the most massive scale. What ICE and the administration do in the service of maximum cruelty is OUR fault?

One of the most baffling comments by a decent politician imaginable.
