He’s looked perfectly serviceable as a replacement for Big Gabi to me if I’m honest. Not as good, but thats not his job and no one really.

Not sure about the protocols, but I assume he was giving a yellow but was told to wait for the review. Rather than give it then upgrade.
With VAR Is it that if he wasn’t planning on giving a card, then VAR can only advise red?

I fairness I think the ref was waiting on the review. Was giving a yellow, but told to hold fire.
