Such light adorns you this day
Come lavish me with
Tendrils of kindness today

In the rain where I stood I had to make good
So we danced a romance
Slow and close and true
The way I like it, the way she did too
There was music playing somewhere
In my face the #wisp of her hair;
Subtly aware,
I loved her, right there

Where do you #bloom, sweet flowers of love?
Beneath storms of despair or bright weather fair
In droughts of gloom or the sea’s hidden womb
I’ll find you, roses of life, petunias of light
Come out, I know where you hide, In arms open wide
For that is why you are alive

Down to the river for a drink
And a peace settles gently here
Makes me wonder, makes me think
Why the skittish deer are frightened of me
When I come near to say hello
Why the autumn twilight laughs at me
When love was all I ever meant to show
