Why don't they just build cars that can compete? Get rid of built in redundancy. Stop building lemons that fail as soon as the warranty is up. If domestic auto makers want to compete, build a low cost vehicle that the average person can maintain and repair and that is well built.

Watched them as a kid and had no idea what was going on but they were brilliant. Watched them all again last year, still brilliant.
