I make game art sometimes. Not actually a cat in a top hat.

It started with 10, but Win11 has loads of folders like that which you’re not allowed to modify even with admin. You probably have to mess around with the user permissions to get rid of it.

Maybe you should get rid of compulsory photo ID for voting then.

The easiest I've used is mdBook since you can just download a single binary which generates a static site for you. Material for MkDocs is another good option if you want more customisation.

I get why 59.97 was necessary for analogue broadcasts but the fact that it’s persisted well over a decade since that ceased to exist particularly irks me. Who on earth is filming or exporting in that format and do they even understand why?
August 25, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Sure, it's hassle that shouldn't exist, but to me it's slightly less hassle than dealing with an awful user experience (Linux) or limits on what hardware I can use (Mac). It's pretty much a one-off per install, so not something that needs maintenance
August 24, 2025 at 11:55 PM
For now at least, both of those things are easy enough to avoid. Just run DoNotSpy11 and a bloatware removal script. You're still left with Win11, but without those particular issues

Definitely the same shirt, the final just doesn't read as floral
August 19, 2025 at 8:25 AM
Yeah neither matches the shirt they’re selling at all, but the shipped shirt looks like the same texture as the earlier one, just desaturated and recoloured. So there are flowers on it, they just blend in a lot

My guess would be the allocation size the card is formatted with, but that only makes sense if Morrowind is thousands of files and even then the difference sounds way too large for that to be right
August 17, 2025 at 11:51 AM
Ah, I missed that - I thought this was in response to people setting it to zero more recently.
August 13, 2025 at 5:18 PM
I'm guessing the model worked when most people were setting the split at a reasonable level, I read this more as frustration that the model is at risk because of people setting it at 0 to 'punish' them for something out of their control

Kamala famously replaced a while male candidate who was doing just great
August 1, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Unless you’re vetting that other kid doesn’t have access to a VPN, or know literally anything about the internet, this doesn’t solve that ‘risk’.

Hopefully the sheer number of services that are going to geoblock the UK will force some kind of climbdown, but my guess is that the most they'll do is limit it to 'porn'. This govt in particular seems hellbent on pissing off literally everyone.
July 25, 2025 at 8:36 PM
And it sounds like even if the business doesn't have any business entity in the UK (like itch) the govt would go after their payment / advertising providers.
July 25, 2025 at 8:16 PM
The penalties for breaching the OSA are pretty big and the government (especially this one) is likely to apply the rules pretty broadly to content they don't like. So I think most sites are being overzealous because it just isn't worth it for one dumbass country implementing this.

The irony with Crypto is that because it's decentralised, there's like 1000 different coins and they all fluctuate in value between the start and end of transactions, so any storefront needs a middleman to actually process the payment. Sort of like a payment process...ah
July 24, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Yeah most Crypto is pseudonymous: you can identify a wallet, but need extra context to know the identity of it's owner. There are some intended to be genuinely anonymous like Monero. In this context though I think it's more about resistance to censorship, since itch was never anonymous to begin with
July 24, 2025 at 4:17 PM
A. This was almost certainly a legal ultimatum and they wouldn't be allowed to discuss it without written approval and B. this is a dispute with the payment processor over those games, so of course payments are being withheld
July 24, 2025 at 3:52 PM
If only they addressed that in their blog post
July 24, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Lots of people being ridiculous doesn't change reality. Itch have no legal grounds to fight this, and a PR battle would not only fail but also mean that no other payment processor will want to work with them. Why is that a good outcome?

There were three working models apparently: one survived which is the one with the MP5SD grip, the other two were destroyed in testing. But there is also a non-functional second model which there were photos of but people didn't know still existed until this video

A lot of FEAR's guns are just sci-fi versions of other guns though, like the assault rifle is basically an SL8 with a Beta-C mag. The Postal 2 shotgun is a Remington 870 with a folding stock, the texture is from a photo of the real thing. I get the impression they just took photos of guns they owned

"We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging period. I’m sorry we can not share more at this time as we are still getting a full understanding of the situation ourselves." - I'm not sure how else itch can say it, either
