I didn't know you could get these smaller format Simpsons comics books. It's from Otter Press in Australia. I'm used to the larger format ones

I have random old sitcoms playing in the background while I work...

This clip from King of Queens really predicted the impact of social media on how we see ourselves compare to others when they collect the wrong photos

Slightly related, just seen this stack of (mostly) bootlegs for sale on Facebook and there's a cart with the Shiten Myooh artwork but it's called "Northern Ken".

I wonder what's on there? Fist of the North Star?

The official 'Asian Version' of Sonic 2 is interesting because it comes with 3 manuals:

- Japanese
- English
- Traditional Chinese

I'm not sure how common this was.

Unfortunately, neither the English nor Chinese manuals are as colourful as the Japanese

Taiwanese bootlegs in the 80s and 90s often came with translated manuals or instructional inserts like this one for Shiten Myooh/Shadow Blasters/四天明王 on the Mega Drive:

The next jigsaw is Super Mario Odyssey.

This is a 500 piece puzzle. I only counted 498 pieces, so I'm not sure if I miscounted or there are actually two pieces missing.

Time to find out...

Every time I go back to the UK, I buy a jigsaw puzzle to do. This time I got two: Rick and Morty and a Mario Odyssey.

They are second hand so it's a gamble that all the pieces work will be there.

This one was a success!

I opened my Vita to remove what I thought was a bulging battery.

It turns out the last person in there didn't seat the battery retaining bar properly and that was the cause

I've still got to fix the camera though... I hope they're still available

As much as Poker Face is a play on the detective genre, S02E11 was closer to a slasher.

Discovering the victim with a knife in the eye, being taken by surprise. Watch any of the Friday the 13th to get your fix of this style

My 4 year old is playing Kirby's Adventure.

He loves it, but NES games can be stressful I'm worried the controller is going through the TV.

How did we play these games as kids?

It'as no secret that the writers of Poker Face are huge film fans with all the references

If you liked the 'accidental' death in S02E09 then also check out:

If you liked Poker Face: The Sleazy Georgian
(S02E08), then definitly check out House of Games (1987).

The Sleezy Georgian was a nice homage to the grift genre, but House of Games is just too good

A good third film, and one that is less conspiracy, but equally paranoid and obsessive, especially when it comes to The Conversation, is The Pledge (2001).

One of my favourites, with mixed reviews (I rarely find films with a critical consensus to be good). You do need to be a fan of slow burners
