The veracity of specific claims doesn't matter to the believers. The deeper story — of immigrants exploiting U.S. taxpayers — is something they already believe, and a few legitimate cases is enough to scaffold belief in the larger story and justify a witch hunt to manufacture more evidence.

There are some good points. As mentioned, a big problem is that urban districts deal with very real on the ground segregation and inequality. I don't see how, barring massive bussing programs, districts deal with that. Many parents will fight that with everything they have.

It'd provide much more entertainment value to find the most unhinged/drunkest fan in the stands and ask them what they thought about the game so far. They wouldn't have any inside knowledge whatsoever, but at least they'd be honest.

They will also use a state of hostilities (they can't get Congress to declare "war") to go after and jail anyone--including citizens-- protesting said hostilities by calling them "unpatriotic" (see Bush era) or "terrorists" (see how protests over Palestine are treated)
