For when Twitter inevitably collapses
Another tough game, in a tough month, but with players coming back from injury we should be able to cope a lot better.

but generally I’d want us to carry more of a threat ourselves, and having someone to either push Porro back or expose the space he leaves when pushing forward would be the better choice…

If I’m Dyche I’d have a plan to introduce Luiz and maybe Bakwa or Ndoye after an hour and really get after Spurs as the game goes on, there is an option to play Dominguez wide to help Williams against Kudus…

Assuming there aren’t any new injuries and Sels has benefited from a weeks rest I’d say most of the team picks itself.

Sels

Savona, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams

Anderson, Sangare

Hutchinson, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi

Jesus

It feels like we just need to be that 5-10% better in both boxes, it’s not a huge difference, but being strong there last season was a massive reason why we won so many games.

Start fast, get into them, and take a chance early to really get everyone going…

they’ve had an extra couple of days rest and didn’t have to travel for their European game.

but it’s an opportunity to get another win, Spurs has shown some fragility and Forest were able to give enough of a rest to key starters, and will have Murillo back which is a massive boost to the defence…

It’s typical of this season that the minute we get any positive injury news Yates is out of a while and Sels picks up a mystery groin injury, hopefully it’s just precautionary but that hasn’t been our luck lately.

It’s time for a few others to step up.

we saw the best of Elanga in his second season with us and I’d guess we’ll see the same with the current group.

Hutchinson’s best moments have come off the bench which gives him an advantage, and Bakwa hasn’t been fit but looked bright when he’s played.

We’re going to have to have patience but this is a group of young players playing in the best league in the world who will only continue to get better…

which is what we were crying out for last year, we’re going to see plenty of all of them as they settle in.

Ndoye has had good and bad games, Hudson-Odoi hasn’t had the level of end product we know he’s capable of…

Fancy Jesus to get on the scoresheet tonight, and this is one where we need to start fast and get the job done.

his main issue has always been that he isn’t Murillo, and there’s not much he can do about that.

If it was longer term for Murillo I’d want to see more of Jair Cunha but he has time on his side and will only benefit from settling in properly…

It’s a shame Murillo is missing again but it does sound like they’re just being careful, and if it is short term then I don’t mind Morato continuing his partnership with Milenkovic, he’s limited but not as bad as many are trying to make out…

Nothing bounced our way, these games happen and is probably balanced out by the win at Anfield and the results around us this weekend, ideally though we need to take four points from these next two games.

Because it happens so rarely you also have to praise a good refereeing performance.
