Time to take Trump seriously and form a broad coalition. Step 1, make sure anyone who thinks American history led to this moment in any way knows that they cannot be in the coalition because that is not the exact same thing as what I think.
You are training a mob of sycophants to behave this way.

Tell them to stop.
If you're interested in my content you can check out my substack. I write about movies. It's pretty dense writing about pop culture. I think even people who don't like what I say on this website could probably get into it.
Yes, becauae that's objectively what it is. He's jus invented a way to seem like he's holding powerful people to account, while actively deflecting blame that the powerful should shoulder onto the public.
Will Stancil's Rule #1: those in power are never responsible for anything. It's us, the people, whose rottenness is the origin of everything bad.

The powerful are never more than the vessels for our rottenness.
If the Democrats ignore Will Stancil's messaging advice and the public rewards them anyway, he still for some reason credits his own messaging as having been magically responsible for the good result.
There's this strange disconnect where you jump straight from "I think this argument is simplistic" all the way to "anyone who makes this argument is being dishonest" without a single word of explanation. All I get is that you FEEL correct, even though you aren't capable of verbalizing why.
Not at all, it's just that this "distinction" isn't that important to everyone. Which is fine. It might actually be that you are a bit odd for finding this distinction so magnificently important... for no reason that you seem capable of explaining.
Getting awfully close to saying that the president makes the economy good with his "vibes."
"Pointing fingers" at the president is fine.

Not sure where people get the idea that it's ethically required to give the president the benefit of the doubt or grade him on the curve, and that's it "dishonest" to be hard on him for his failings.
It is not presented as it's "indicative" of anything. It's presented straightforwardly: policies that helped until they were suspended.

Not sure why the suspension of these policies wasn't Biden's responsibility. (But we MUST credit him for "good numbers" we can't even source to his policy.)
It's actually pretty useful to know that COVID policies meaningfully reduced poverty. Far more useful than Will Stancil's fixation on positive statistical gains that he cannot even causally connect to any Biden policy.
Where did you get the idea that this information was presented without context. It is stated in the article again and again that poverty went down because of COVID policy and went up because the policies ended.
This is just another way of saying that "everything is random."
It's not worth becoming more stupid to win an argument. It would be better for you to just acknowledge your mistake, than to mutilate your own brain.
Nope. Just a word. Big difference between a word that describes an inherently horrible trait, and a shitty slur that some bigoted assholes made up. It's not hard, at all, to comprehend the distinction.
I also said that it means different shitty things to different people so I'm not sure what you're complaining about.
It's not a slur for a super clear group of people (though it always means some kind of leftist). The word doesn't exist because it has a useful meaning. It exists because some want the feeling of using slurs, but are afraid of being socially censured. "Tankie" is a safe way to satisfy the urge.
"Fascist" is not a slur. It's the word we all use to describe fascists.
Who cares what you mean. Some of you mean "leftists" and some of you are just using it in place of the slur you wish you could say. But obviously it doesn't matter what you're thinking.
Nope. Just a slur for people who like to say slurs and probably say a bunch of other ones in private.
Tankie is just "the slur that you're still allowed to say."
There is not a "real" risk. There is a "fake" risk that people made up to justify their desire to lecture other people. It's pretty ironic if you think about it. The people who postured about the need to"get real" about risk... immediately made up a new thing to be afraid of.
