Yep, although this is where he shows weakness IMO. You need to be able to adapt and we clearly don’t have enough 10s in the squad (especially now without Sarr) that he is comfortable using and that have the right characteristics to play there.

Think it’s the only viable option unless he changes the shape slightly and puts Eddie up top through the middle alongside Mateta with either Pino/Kamada operating as a true central #10 (which isn’t the worst idea) behind those two. It’s a shocking position to be in though.

I get this argument but the squad is woefully short regardless. The summer was a shambles and we’ve tossed away the opportunity of really achieving something incredible this season.
