Thanks, that is exactly how it is. In trying to replicate the look and feel of the arcade, the color choices and their placement come first, then the finer details

Lo and behold, the renewed seabed is now blue just like the arcade! I also finally got to swap in the new bullets Toki spits,nice and round just like the arcade, already look tons better then the weirdly rhomboidal Ocean version. #toki #remaster #c64 #commodore64 #RetroGame

Considering the 256-character limit and just 91 unique 2x2 tiles (all used!), fitting in the mountain backdrop, extra details, and more color variety was a real challenge… but totally worth it! 😃 Check out the before & after and let me know what you think! ⬇️🔥
