Davey, Kell of Chaos
@daveykmedia.com
Just a guy. Takes zero effort to be kind. I play video games, take my kid to karate, and sometimes make things for YouTube. One day I may even stream again. Turbo Army tech support.

I'll probably change this 37 times.

This probably sums them up the best though so far.

Don't think I've shared it here, but we have added to the pet collection. Her name is Krampus and Arby is so happy to have a new friend. She's slowly getting more comfortable with him, so I expect full chaos here soon.

It's funny that this card used to be considered large. It pales in comparison to my current card lol

Finally, the current version of my build. Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo XL is the current case, but I left custom loops behind. The maintenance just became too cumbersome along with too expensive. I also upgraded my GPU for the first time since the 1080 Ti.

I also switched from Intel to AMD at this point, starting with the 3900X before moving on to the 5900X a few months later. I also gave Lian Li's Uni fans a look and have stayed with them since. This is one of my favorite build versions ever.

The experience was fun and I wanted to expand on things for the next revision. Phanteks released a larger case, the Enthoo 719, so it had to be done. I added more water cooling, and while I liked the build, the 719 was a bit of a letdown. Still, it was fun. RGB memory was later added.

The build stayed mostly the same for the next year or so. I wanted to try a custom loop, but was waiting to see if I could do any upgrades. I was fortunate enough to win a 1080 Ti from ASUS, bought an 8700K, some water cooling parts, and the Phanteks Evolv X, which is still one of my favorite cases.

I had come across cases with tempered glass (the H440 had an acrylic size panel) and knew I needed to go for it. So I did, along with custom cables from Cablemod. The case was the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX TG, and was the beginning of my love affair with Phanteks.

Here are some finished views of the build. I was happy, but problems presented themselves early on, mostly with NZXT and its lack of customer support. I had issues with both the case and cooler at various points. Within a few months, I made the first revision.

Let's take a journey down my PC past. I might make a video on this subject, but here's an overview. The idea came to fruition in late 2016 and I started acquiring parts. By February 2017, it was time. Parts included the Intel 5820k, ASUS A-II X 99 motherboard, and NZXT H440 case.

Hard to believe that it's been just over 8 years since I built my first true gaming PC. Several versions later, we still going strong.

Maybe later I'll post all the different versions of builds I've had over the years, but for now enjoy the current view with a bonus view of Arby.

The world is on fire, so here's a pic of my cat after he burrowed under my end blanket to go to sleep.

Let's get a little festive, shall we?

Show me your pet and what they were named for:

Arby checking out the humidifier like the weirdo that he is. This cat will actually shove his face into the mist a couple of times. It's something he does every year when I break this thing back out.

This cat, I swear. Sure Arbalest, you live there now.

Sir Arbalest says hi

I could probably add at least a dozen more if I thought about it long enough. But really any Halo could find its way in there as well as most Zelda titles.

Given that it's likely PC parts will go up in price after a certain someone takes office, decided to finally snag this to use as my drive for games. Will be watching prices on some other potential upgrade pieces as well, specifically motherboard, CPU, and memory.

Decided it was time for new keycaps for my keyboard. The 3 I didn't change are intentional as this keyboard has different functions assigned to those than normal keyboards.

Brand is Happy Balls (yeah yeah), and I got them off of Amazon.
