@drsalspong.bsky.social Here are a couple of doors, wood carvings, and a theater for you enjoyment. The big door is in Pontlevoy, France while the Ice Cream shop is on the S.E. corner of Place Plumereau, Tours, France

@drsalspong.bsky.social Here is the first door. Actually it is a 15th century building in Vieux Tours that is a restaurant with a steel door, wonderful wood carvings, and an area inside for boules.

Taiwan is a wonderful country. We get pink cherry blossoms twice a year (spring and fall). Actually the fall blossoms don't come from a cherry tree but they are just as nice to look at.

@taiwanomaly.bsky.social Since Mr. Yang limits who can respond to his posts and I saw the repost you did on his #Taiwan textures, I thought I would add a couple more. These from Qing Dynasty buildings. An interior wall and an exterior wall.

Don't have my own picture(s) but the Cherry blossoms are out in full force in Taiwan just in time for the New Year of the snake. From Powen Shiah on Mastodon.

Having mostly moved from "The other place" to here in the past couple of weeks I seem to have garnered a number of wine followers. Most of you are probably more knowledgeable then me but I will pass on one truth that I have learned. Watch for and beware of drunken ducks.

Doesn't look that bad in Montrichard. In fact, the weekend looks wonderful. Doesn't do me much good as I am here Taiwan.

Saw this article posted over in Mastodon by Alex Bardsley. I have had wine from this area. They also produce a small amount of Pinot Noir that is guite nice. Like the Gamay talked about it is light but it does go very will with the food here in Taiwan. www.euronews.com/culture/2024...
The Blood of Volcanoes: Wine and Beer in France's Auvergne region
A land of volcanoes sits on a tectonic rift that could have cleaved France in half millennia ago. But does the conviviality of wine and beer help to foster cohesion?
