Apologies, I can't look at your post, I'm too busy claiming benefits.

You couldn't be bothered reporting on catastrophic damage caused by a hurricane 10 days ago. You have a Europe edition, you have an environment section, use them! Now the story is big enough because Spain? Oh and ask yourselves why you wait until you can weave Ventura into the story. Try harder.

Zen *is* the seventh character! Adding another human and excluding Zen is the same as leaving your dog outside in a winter storm. Apart from the hopeless long range detectors, Zen was the most trustworthy crew member. And potentially the most dangerous. "Your species requires visual reference ..."

Is that why she's smiling/not smiling?

Yes! Well yes to most of the suggested, but this one YES!
January 19, 2026 at 8:26 PM
Ooh err! Epic and underwhelming at the same time!

Was embarrassingly awful a lot of the time, but also so strong we still talk about it. That final scene in the last episode made such huge impression. As a young teenager watching, it was an early notification that nothing lasts forever, not even your heros. We also had a dog called Zen!

Same. 20% excited, 80% it'll never happen. But like you said, the story seems relevant now more than ever!

As long as they tighten the fishing line or straighten the Liberator on that trolly!

Vergonhosamente previsível. Shout the most hateful things, the media laps it up like honey, and the idiot flock bow and follow. What role model for Portugal is this "Ventumor"? A man who calls for other leaders to be removed and goes to Vox rallies and calls for the lynching of foreigners. Disgrace.

I'm looking forward to seeing the dazzle paint job you're going to do on this ...

A couple of funny observations. Voting group: Right wing more scared of "them". Age group: 18–24, a little wary due to witnessing a few fights. 25–49, sensible and optimistic. Then getting older, more conservative and scared of "them" because it's not like it used to be in my day.

Great article. I would have been a little more interested in history if school books contained glorious lines like "... being a total prick to everyone all of the time ..."!

And those scenes after all these years, still more believable than most grand scale CGI stuff we see.

Vigorous. Vigorous!

Yep that's a mess. I don't mind busy geometric designs, but you need to go all in. This was clearly aiming for "peooow" fast arrow, but fails because of too many arrows. I could even put up with one "wrong way" arrow at the back. It would tie-in nicely with the forwards-backwards classic logo.
December 9, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Yes I realise my pure design solution of an arrow only at the front is cloud la-la land because at each end of journey the train can't just start again "backwards". They'll need sidings to move the arrow back to the front. Anyway it was cool in my head for 5 mins! 😆
December 9, 2025 at 6:48 PM
...and I can't believe I'm saying this, but can we have the logo bigger! Like your suggestion. Ugh, but that name, Great British Railways is embarrassing isn't it?

Opinionated graphic designer (how unusual ...) would like to disagree with almost all the negativity in the article's comments. I'd like to combine your (retro) thought with the new design. I love the striking angles, but don't repeat it. It's too jarring on following carriages.

I had gone down a Cochrane hole, but admittedly only a shallow one!
