I absolutely preferred the first two seasons of disco and the last but even the middle stuff is pretty great Trek. Section 31 was very nope to me as well. Starfleet Academy has certainly started strong.

As a huge Trekkie I will say I enjoy all Trek, some to a lesser extent. I was for the first time not actually looking forward to a new series. Having seen the first episode now I really enjoyed it. I'm actually excited to see more. (Would have watched both but was finishing a book)

As a massive Star Trek fan I've pretty much always loved CBS and Paramount. I wouldn't even dream about cancelling my Paramount subscription. Especially with new Trek hitting soon. I 100% cancelled it last year and will not be watching.

Perhaps it will improve after the election later this year. I hope so because another 2 years sounds awful.

I'm still more on the Crappy New Year train but I can dream.
