I have voted for Bridget Phillipson for Deputy Leader.

We need a deputy who will unite the party, who is sat round the cabinet table and who has a proven track record of driving forward real change.

I believe Bridget ticks all of these boxes and would encourage other members to support her too!

🏥 Over the weekend I was out around the constituency with councillors & volunteers sharing Labour’s actions on the NHS including 5,000,000 extra appointments since coming into Government - well above the 2m planned

I’m not sure what you are referring too. Water is already privatised. We committed in our manifesto to sorting out pollution and the lack of investment and holding water company bosses personally responsible. All of which we are doing already through the Water Special Measures Bill and other actions

It was fantastic to meet the team down at Southend’s Welcome to the UK. It’s a charity founded here in 2014 to help families from overseas.

They offer a wide range of services including:

⚓️I opted for the Navy because of my family history, with my grandfather, great grandfather and great uncle all having been in that service.

⛴ The scheme provides MPs and Peers with first-hand experience of military life to help us make better-informed decisions over defence.

I have relished my first taste of the MP’s Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (AFPS). It is a long-running initiative designed to give Members of Parliament and Peers a deeper understanding of the armed forces.

🎉Happy 100th birthday Dougie Shelly🎂

Yesterday I had the privilege to meet 2nd World War veteran Dougie as he became a Centenarian!

A special party was organised in his honour where he received over 16,600 cards sent by many people including The King and The Prime Minister.
