CHATGPT: I understand where you're coming from. You worked really hard to get here, and now it's time to enjoy the fruit of your labors.

ISILDUR: So I should keep it? Elrond says I shouldn't

CHATGPT: The ring is precious. Sometimes friends don't have your best interests at heart.

ISILDUR: true

Cultivate a couple of hobbies. Ideally, things that have nothing to do with your day job and that bring you joy, even if you're not great at them.

Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

Has anyone got any useful methods for beginning a conversation on common values in a leadership team/trustees?

Especially things that your team have actually found helpful (given that not everyone leaps into the air for joy with this kind of activity...)

It's been terrible for years - especially at Freilassing station. Nearly always causes me to miss a connection at Munich. Though they are now controlling the Salzburg-Freilassing road bridge as well.

oh the delays and missed flight connections those controls have caused...

His stuff on improvisation sits nicely alongside Parker 'the art of gathering'

Oh, if that is the direction you are wanting to go, the thesis might actually be quite useful.
davidbunce.bsky.social
OK I have pulled up the thesis and it is quite different to the book - the thesis covers more ground, but assumes a lot more background knowledge (and has less helpful examples to real life)
davidbunce.bsky.social
Ah quite possibly. Just might not be as accessible

Also Kimber is drawing on Iain McGilchrist's research on brain hemispheres, which I assume is some of the background theory in @aptshadow.bsky.social's "Children of Memory", I am having difficulty concentrating on some of the theory heavy stuff without fictional corvids jumping around my mind...

Today's reading is this fantastically interesting book from Jonathan Kimber where he brings neuroscience research into conversation with/critique of models of strategic Christian leadership

I never get people who go through the world like this. Even aside from the rightness of treating people right because it's the right thing to do, receptionists etc often have huge institutional knowledge and can be huge resources in solving problems
