Growing older; growing balder
I'm no psychologist and you're not there to answer for a third party, and the term malignant Narcissism is new to me, but if Doctor Wikipedia is correct in that major symptoms are ego mania and sadism, then those I listed would surely fit the bill

That's a very short list - Had they never heard of Stalin, or Pol Pot, or Amin, or Mussolini, or Franco, or Mao or many others of both Right and Left?

Was only half reading this - saw "baby's mobile" and wondered which company was now selling "baby's first phone"

Rochdale. One of many around the Town Centre - part of Rochdale being GM town of culture for 2025

Yes, but what I wrote was in reply to a post suggesting that the Labour MP for Holborn may not spend a lot of time in his constituency. That is Mr Starmer, and he does spend quite a lot of time on things other than constituency business

Yes, if your MP spends their time on Party business and/or running the country. No if the MP spends (at least) half their time on business that is neither. That is the problem with Farage and Clacton

Why single out the BBC? Why not C4 or ITN/Sky or Independent radio or the entire print media both daily and weekly? Why particularly the BBC in this comparison?

most London Termini. Paddington Kings Cross St Pancras all more than 2 miles from Charring Cross. Euston 1.5 miles

By contrast I went into a cafe for coffee and cake last week. I was told "you're in luck, we reduce the price of cake at 2pm". I checked the time - it was 1.55. When I admitted this, I was told, "well its near enough". That is the kind of place I want to spend my time

Me too. 1981 I think.

Same is true of UK, only the divide is London/The rest. London can also be divided into The City and elsewhere

You didn't include John Niven's @nivenj1.bsky.social book- O Brother. I can't imagine a better examination of the pains (and joys) of a sibling relationship

This attack on Farage seems to have similarities to attacking Trump with Epstein. That is successfully starting to split him from his base, so I see no reason why this shouldn't also be successful. In my opinion Farage has to be careful not to be seen to protest too much

Particularly Dave Allen.

Oh no. You may have reignited the War of the Roses by suggesting Walsden is in Lancashire! Yorkshire staged a largely peaceful land grab in 1974 and placed it in West Yorkshire. There is still a lot of resentment about that though.

Derby do seem to be involved in a number of "squeakers" this year. Not lost a match yet though

Is there a "place-ative determinism" equivalent of nomative? If so this goes straight to the top of the list

I think you could quite reasonably leave out the "useful county" bit from the description of Matt Critchley. He was and is a huge loss to the Derbyshire team when he moved to Essex

It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking Mrs Dalloway

Surely a shortbread (even a millionaires) is a biscuit, not a cake? They are even described as Shortbread biscuits and you can buy packets of shortie biscuits next to the hob nobs.

The House at Pooh Corner when your child is beginning to leave such stories behind it the same way that Christopher Robin moves away from the Hundred Acre Wood
