Much has happened in New York City since I visited the Lower East Side in 2017 with my camera. I sincerely hope that these two gentlemen have lived through these changes, and, especially the ravages of the Covid 19 epidemic, and are both well today.

Photography also allows us capture moments in human existence in everyday conditions. In so doing, we gain a better understanding of humanity. "Beauty" is a plastic term that can be applied to moments where it is not immediately apparent but can be discerned with a reflectivive viewing of an image.
