They call it the hospitality industry for a reason. If you're being an asshole to customers, you get fired. Why should being a racist asshole be any protection? A good burn is a good learn. I hope she learns from it (but I doubt she will. She'll probably double down).

I once drove through Indiana, after an ice storm, on I-94 from Michigan to Illinois. The Michigan side of 94 was salted and clear. The Illinois side was salted and clear. I didn't see a single salt truck in Indiana. It was pure ice. Indiana has done a fucking good job of defunding itself.

The first shot knocked me on my ass. It was the first time I ever took a day off from work because of getting a vaccine. Totally worth it. The second was better. My mom had a "mild" case of shingles. She was miserable for a couple of months. You don't want it x1000.

Isn't that what DeVry is for? I have an engineering degree, but I took as many humanities classes as I could. I am good with math and machines, so engineering was a logical choice for me, but there's way more to life than that.

Didn't whatever high school she attended teach about the depression, or was that too much of a downer for them. If you don't recognize the "Prosperity is just around the corner" quote enough to stay 10,000 miles away from anything like it, you're woefully undereducated.

I'm sure that's right. I was fortunate. My mom made a white sauce for our mac and cheese and taught us how to do it. I don't think many do. It's either Kraft or Velveeta for them.

The funniest is that William Henry Harrison, who spend the one month of his Presidency sick and dying, was ranked so much better than Trump. I guess the message is don't do anything. While you may not be ranked first, you won't be ranked last.

It isn't that our parents taught us to not be bigoted. They both continued to say ignorant things. Even as black and Hispanic men and women were caring for them in their retirement home. I don't know where it comes from or why some people stop and others don't. I wish I did.

I'm old enough to be the father or grandfather of those who cheered. That's the stuff we said when I was young and we were ignorant. I learned and stopped. So did my sister. My brother didn't. We were raised by the same parents. He and they chose to stay ignorant.
