Joe Biden and other serious democratic candidates were told that it was Hillary’s turn and not to run. It was far from competitive. The fact that Hillary struggled to defeat an independent was a sign of how weak a candidate she was.

I think the common thread for democrats losing the presidential elections in 2016 and 2024 was the lack of a competitive primary. The party was told it was Hillary’s turn in 2016 and Biden’s decision to drop out late prevented one in 2024.

Although, as a Gen Xer I can say “whatever”

Too many Democrats would rather lose and say they were right than win and admit they were wrong.
